Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, arrives Benue to intervene in violent clash between herdsmen and farmer as directed by President Buhari

Benue Command of the Nigerian Police on Wednesday said the Inspector General of Police, IGP Idris Ibrahim, has arrived the state as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari against the violent clash between the herdsmen and farmers in the community.

Police statement reads: “Sequel to the Order by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Inspector General of Police to immediately move to Benue State to restore law and order in the State, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni has arrived Benue State. He was received by the AIG in charge of Zone 4 (Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau) at the Zone 4 Headquarters in Makurdi.”
