Nigerian musician and ‘Area Father’, Charles Oputa, best known as Charly Boy, has criticised Nigerian youths for rallying round the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar in his bid to contest with presidency with President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 election, saying the two options are terrible.
He also faulted Nigerian youths for having priority for football rather than getting active in politics and take their future into their hands.
“Our Mum (dullness) no get part two o (without limits). How can a country that has Akunwunmi Adesina (President of African Development Bank); Mohammed Barkindo, the secretary general of OPEC; Aliko Dangote, Toni Elumelu, Donald Duke, Jim Ofia, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Sanusi Lamido, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Philip Emeagwali, Prof. Pat Utomi, Chukwu Mareje, and many Nigerians wey (that has) brain dey hot. Intelligently smart across the globe…,”angered Charly Boy said while mixing pidgin with some fluent English.
“All political equation has to offer us is Buhari and Atiku?”
He continues, “Abi we go add Wike and his fans “the kidnapper” join am. Abi I dey craze or na wey dey mad.
“See yeye useless youths dulling, busy with Arsenal and Chelsea match.”

Mr. Atiku Abubakar had re-joined the Peoples Democratic Party in the wake of December the party which voted his principal, President Olusegun Obasanjo, for the two terms in office between 1991 and 2007.
Atiku had moved between different political parties between 2007 till date in his bid to fulfil his political ambition to be crowned the Nigerian President.
The musician Charly Boy has not being quiet on political issues, is highly noted for his activism during the London trip of President Buhari for medical vacation, as he championed the #OurMumuDonDo protest along side #ResumeOrResign by other activists for the President to return to Nigeria and resume work or to resign office.
The 66-year-old musician is a son of renown late Justice Chukwudifu Oputa.
